Azienda Agricola Arpisson, Part 2

The goats returning home for milking and bed

The farm is a two-hour hike from a grocery store, so all the food non-dairy we ate was helicoptered up at the start of the summer

Skimming the cream...for butter or coffee!

The one-room kitchen/bedroom where Eve and I stayed. Even when it was super hot outside this room was always magically cold.

Calves :)

Azienda Agricola Arpisson in the summer, part 1

What a thrill it was to go back to this dairy farm in the Italian alps! I first visited Attilio, Gabriella, and the 30 cows and 60 goats, in 2012. When I came back four years later I discovered they'd named a cow after me. Dairy cows live about four years at factory farms, and fourteen years at Arpisson, which is a paradise for animals.

More about my favorite farm in the world, where you can volunteer for free, here.

Eve through my phone

Eve, my phone, and I have been so many places together.

These are in chronological order. (Here's my insta.)
